StateoftheART is delighted to present Absence and Presence: in search of Memory and the Imago, a solo exhibition of  sculptural work by Sarah Walmsley .

In this narrative installation and exhibition Sarah Walmsley  has created a series of figurative sculptures in bronze, glass and resin. Focusing on three central themes of absence and presence, memory, and the female nude, these sculptures are displayed as pairings and groupings to invite a visual dialogue between the figures.

Using her own body as a reference point,  Walmsley’s work offers a new approach to the sculptural female nude; her emotive pieces gracefully bearing the weight of experience as they silently communicate with each other and the viewer.
