Delivery

StateoftheART facilitates shipping of artwork on behalf of the buyer.  We provide customized, instantaneous shipping quotes at checkout once you enter your shipping address.  As the majority of our artwork inventory is held in studios located country-wide,  it is not possible to package multiple artworks together, and shipping will be billed separately for each item at checkout.

DELIVERY TIMES & COSTS
Unlike most products, the cost of shipping artwork and delivery lead time may vary substantially depending on the country of destination. Artwork deliveries within South Africa are dispatched on a Monday or Tuesday; this is to ensure direct delivery and minimise the risk of damage due to warehouse storage over a weekend.
Average delivery time once payment has cleared our account within South Africa is 10 - 14 working days unless otherwise noted on the listed artwork page. For international delivery, 14 – 21 working days. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times may be subject to delays as a result of postal or courier delays, or force majeure, for which we will not be responsible.

When ordering goods from stateoftheart-gallery.com for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

PACKAGING & CRATING
We try to reduce, reuse and recycle as much of our packaging as possible to decrease our impact on the environment. For local deliveries (South Africa) we will wrap your artwork in fresh bubble wrap prior to packaging in repurposed materials and corrugated card.

Artworks to be delivered internationally will either be packaged in a bespoke crate or shipped in a PVC tube.

Unwrapping your artwork:
Please follow these simple steps on receipt of your artwork:

1. Check the packaging for any scuffs, punctures or other damage. Make a note of any found and please photograph it. Do not sign for your package until you confirm it has reached you in perfect condition.

2. Carefully unwrap the artwork, on a clean, solid table, which is clear of all other materials and liquids, and check again. If you find any damage, which is not discovered at the point of signing confirmation of receipt, this damage must be reported to StateoftheART via email to admin@stateoftheart-gallery.com within 24hours of receipt. Please photograph it and make a written, dated description.
