Full title: Lion's Head from Bakoven Winter's Light
"I know I'm not the only one who has a (healthy) obsession with Lion's Head. During our Plein Air painting workshop at Oudekraal, I discovered another artist who has more than 80 paintings of Lion's Head! I am not quite there yet, but I'm probably not that far off! This view was painted at Bakoven Beach around midday in May. The light was soft, softer than I would have expected for May, and due to the late time of year, shadows remained on the mountain much later than they would have during summer. That suited me just perfectly, and I enjoyed capturing this view, knowing I was in good company, as the dassies on the rocks too were gazing mountain-wards."
