    "Oudekraal Beach is still a new discovery for me - despite having driven the Coastal Road (Victoria Road) thousands of times, I did not know this special little alcove of beach, rocks and Milkwood forest until a few years ago. Now that I know about it, it is a strong favourite any time of year, but even more so on those misty, overcast days when you don't know if you'll be able to see anything through the fog. I was glad I arrived at the beach early. No one was there (it wasn't exactly a beach day), and I managed to paint this view before the sun burnt through the clouds completely."
