Artist Description
The pigeon is a bird that is so often seen as a nuisance to humanity, a polluter of public spaces and monuments. Humans find it so easy to forget how it is our species who destroy this beautiful planet. This series celebrates my delight in these beautiful birds which co-exists with humanity finding innovative ways to survive in their concrete environments. Their varied beauty of cross breading, beautiful flight formation and ground movements add such incredible texture to an often bland environment. I did not set out to make any grand political statement but rather celebrate my love for these humble "common" birds.
