Artist Description
Artist notes:
This work conveys the feeling of complete joy and freedom experienced in childhood play. As children we love playing “aeroplane”, being spun around by grownups, carried on their shoulders, and swayed between them like hammocks.
This sculpture is a tribute to parents and caregivers who show kids what it feels like to fly and play with abandon. Aeroplane is a work that expresses gratitude to the loving parents and guardians that enable kids to live openly and trust fully. It is a ‘thank you’ to those that plant the seeds of lifelong self-belief and teach their kids how to let go and laugh.
