Usually when I think of an horizon, I see the meeting point of the ocean with the sky, a clean and straight line of dark and light blue. With this artwork, however, the focus is on an horizon that is filled with mountain ranges fading into the distance - something to drive or walk towards, to look forward to when embarking on a journey. While most of the Nuances works are about the landscape specifically, this artwork symbolizes the horizons we have within our personal lives - goals and family gatherings that we plan and can look forward to, to keep us focused and moving towards something 'better'.
