    Artist Notes:
    Kwaaitjie is both a celebration of strength and an invitation for change. This artwork aims to evoke the courage it takes to embrace vulnerability in a world that often demands unwavering strength. Staunch yet lacking the courage to embrace vulnerability openly, Small Kwaaitjie is weathering the frenetic pace of modern life through sheer will.
    *Kwaai is an Afrikaans word for “angry” and Kwaaitjie translates as “bad boy”. The title of my artwork is intended to encapsulate “angry one” in the diminutive.
