Artwork Description
A slender buck stands among overlapping shapes, drawn textures and patterned forms. Its alert face and delicately spotted neck remain clearly defined, while translucent areas of pale blue, soft grey and muted blush pass across its body.
Balekane Legoabe created Neat as a digital collage, composing and layering the different visual elements on a computer before producing the final artwork as an archival pigment print. Large botanical forms, dotted circles and shifting areas of transparency move between foreground and background, giving the composition depth without losing its restrained, contemporary palette.
Printed on 200gsm True Fibre Matt paper, this impression is marked A/P (Artist’s Proof). The artwork measures 28 x 42 cm unframed.
