Artwork Description
A solitary buck stands in profile, its slender legs and lowered head described through dense, dark strokes. A second white contour shifts beyond the animal’s body, while short radiating lines create a subtle pulse of energy around its form.
Balekane Legoabe digitally combines drawing with grainy textures, translucent layers and broad horizontal bands. A pale circular shape in the upper left provides a crisp counterpoint to the buck and balances the otherwise earthy, monochrome composition. The contrast between the heavily worked animal and its lighter outline gives Honey a feeling of movement, as though the buck is caught between two positions.
This limited-edition digital collage is printed on 200gsm True Fibre Matt paper. Numbered 1 from an edition of 5, it measures 42 x 30 cm unframed.
